View the Tuition Schedule for 2011-2012. Please call with any questions or concerns. We make every effort to make the classes accessible to families, therefore, please let us know if the only reason you do not wish to enroll is because of tuition expense.
A Note About Saturday Classes:
Saturday is reserved for Workshop Days and Rehearsals, which will include scheduled skills classes, creative classes, and performance rehearsals throughout the year.
Homeschooling? I am happy to form a Homeschooling class of your choice with a minimum of six students for the morning hours as long as their ages and skill level are compatible. Please contact Emily Hill, 757.504.4450, if you are interested.
Placement
Students will be placed in a level appropriate for both their age and level of physical and/or technical development. If at any time during the year, the instructor feels the student should move to a differest class, a conversation will be held with the parents. Students may move up a level during the year based on their technique.
All students from last year will be sent a class recommendation form in the mail. If you have any questions on the appropriate level for your child, please contact Emily Hill 757.504.4450 or artsballet@gmail.com.
Performance
Students have the oppertunity to perform in the Arts Ballet Academy children's ballet performance each Spring. Last year, we enjoyed Alice in Wonderland, and this year's ballet is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. In the fall, parents are invited for a class demonstration and small choreography showcase. Students in primary ballet and above are encouraged to audition for the Eastern Virginia School for the Performing Arts' Nutcracker held at CNU's Ferguson Center for the Arts. Musical Theater and Voice students will also have opportunities to perform, and may be invited to join Mr. Boucher's Musical or End of Year Performance with the Eastern Virginia School for the Performing Arts.
